In August we declared we needed a REVIVAL, and oh did we have one! We had a two-part theme.
Week 1 was “Restoration”. God really used Dr. Shelton Murphy, Pastor of Mount Gilead Missionary Baptist Church on Monday, August 5th, to help us set sail. Then Reverend Gregory Webb followed on Tuesday, September 6th to preach and shut it down with a song. (Who knew?)
Reverend Linda Holley preached the Word and lead us in praise through song. Then our own Pastor Williams stepped in for Reverend Gladys Bell. He sealed our restoration praise and allowed us to marinate in RESTORATION.
We must accept that God is doing a new thing. We are seeking the Lord. We are expecting Him to strengthen congregational fellowship to energize and edify the congregation. We were so high in worship that we could not wait to return for week two.
When we returned on Monday, August 22nd for Week w, Reverend Pavel Garner paved the way for our TRANSFORMATION. Reverend Green showed us what it looked like on Tuesday, August 23rd. Reverend Shareen Abdullah followed on Wednesday, August 24th to remind us that it was inclusive. Reverend Lisa Sampson closed on Thursday, August 25th with a 911 call.
